Sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) is a plant native to Peru. The term “sacha inchi” typically refers to edible seeds produced by the sacha inchi plant. Also known as sacha peanut, mountain peanut, or Inca peanut. These seeds have a nut-like flavor when they are roasted.

We are proud to use organic sacha inchi in our Seed + Fruit Bars and our Pure Protein! In fact, our Pure Protein has just the one ingredient, sacha inchi! It is simply made from lightly roasting seeds that have been cold pressed to remove most of the oil. The resulting seed meal is ground into a powder that is 65% protein by weight. Because it is attached to much of its natural nutrients, sacha inchi seed protein is easier to digest than protein isolates, which are processed with chemicals or enzymes. And every batch is tested for allergen and gluten cross contact and every harvest is tested for chemicals and glyphosate.
