Give the Gift of Love
It’s been a tough year, and we have all had to let go of many of the activities we love.
For me, it’s a book club. I love everything about it. The nervous feeling of excitement I get when the next book is selected. I love the rich discussion and silly debate. I also love the wine, but most of all, I love the community.
I can’t be with my sweet friends this holiday season, so this year, I am sending my ladies a book, a recipe, and a bottle of wine.
I may not get to experience the feel of a comfy sofa, a glass of pinot, or the laughter of women so tired from a day’s work and kids, but they wouldn’t pass on the opportunity to be together for anything.
So my suggestion is to send your special people a recipe that has comforted and nourished you and your loved ones this year and one of your favorite things {ala Oprah style}. It doesn’t have to be expensive; it just needs to be something that you love because there is nothing more important than sharing love.
