I love making power balls! There’s something so pleasing about them… that and they have SO much potential and they are as easy to make as they are to eat.
Plus, there’s an infinite number of flavor combinations you can try. Once you’ve made a few at home, you’ll start to see how the ratios and flavor pairings work.
These nutrient-dense power balls are a perfect and easy snack. You can pre-make them and store them in your fridge, or pop them into the freezer for a little while for a nice ice cream texture.

By replacing your usual store-bought snacks with these healthy protein balls, you are choosing to enter more nutrients into your diet. Protein Power Balls: The Recipe
Ingredients
8 oz pitted dates
Freeze-dried raspberries (1-1.5 oz)
1/2 tsp sea salt
4 TBSP golden flax meal
2 TBSP ZEGO Foods Pure Protein
2 TBSP lemon juice
Method
- Start by pitting your dates. If they’re very dry, soak them in warm water overnight, or for a few hours before starting.
- Once pitted, combine the dates and all of the other ingredients into your food processor.
- Mix until everything is well combined.
- Use a small cookie dough scooper (2 tsp) to portion out power balls.
- You can store these (covered) in the fridge, or freeze and use as needed. Enjoy!
