It may seem a challenge, but let’s find the good.
How do we honor ourselves and this year?
Take a moment. Do you realize what you have accomplished this year? Did you take on anything new? Learn something you didn’t know before? Did you manage schooling for your children while working and caring for your family?
Did you care for someone older or younger than you? Did you help them process a pandemic and all of the new vernacular introduced to culture this year?
Did you feed people? Offer care or some groceries to a neighbor? Spend hours on endless hours on zoom in the effort to create community and maintain relationships.
You are simply incredible, and we at ZEGO are applauding you for all you have done.
Symbols can have a lot of meaning, hope, and healing.
Take some time this week to write a letter to yourself. Address the hardship, the loss, and the sadness as well as the joy, the discoveries, and the hopes you have for a new year. There is power in acknowledging where you have been and where you are going because you have made it!
As a health coach, I believe that self-care isn’t an event; it is a practice that is tended to and maintained.
Despite the hardships of this year, I believe that you are meant to thrive.
