How have we done and what will we do next?
ZEGO is a certified B Corporation. And, though we like to use the phrase, “Using our Company as a Force for Good,” it’s more than that. Being a B Corp actually has a legal meaning.
That’s right. It’s actually in our LLC Operating Agreement signed by our investors that having a positive impact on the world is as foundational to the company and its operations as being financially successful.
But setting the intention is just the first step for a B Corp. We have to stop and assess our work and determine if we are actually meeting our goals.
And, I must admit, it was hard to take time to stop and measure our impact goals when what my team and I really want to do is keep moving forward. But I’m glad we did. Despite the pandemic, our team did amazing work toward our WHY.

As a B Corp, How Do We Do Create Positive Social Impact?
We focus on leading the industry by example, being the company we want all others to be. We provide purity verification for our products and radical transparency for toxins so we can offer wholesome, unprocessed products that are the best of mother nature grown in a manner best for mother nature.
What Does Being an Industry Leader Mean?
In order to be a leader in the food industry, we need to do more than be a good example, or have a B Corp certification. We need to grow our influence by using our voice and providing solutions. So not only do we purity verify our own products but we seek to influence other brands to do this as well.
How Do We Measure Our Impact?
Our focus is to get the word out to customers and the industry about toxins in our food chain, what purity verification is, and how it can be done in a financially feasible way. Our ultimate goal is to have purity verification become the norm, a consumer expectation. To do this, we need to educate and inspire consumers to demand purity transparency. That’s what being a B Corp is all about: change for the better.
