Hot Quick-Cook Method: For best flavor, nutrition, and digestibility, soak the oatmeal and water or milk overnight. In the morning, simmer with lid on for 5+ minutes. Rest for 2 to 5 minutes until liquid is absorbed.

Cereal or Overnight Oats: Mix 2/3 cup oats with 1 1/2 cup milk + 1/8 tsp salt or 1 cup yogurt. Soak 5+ minutes for cereal or 12 to 24 hours for overnight oats. Longer soak time results in softer oats.

Note: Soaking your oatmeal blend in your favorite version of milk or water will make it easier to digest and make the nutrients more bio-available.

Microwave: Boil 1 1/2 cups water + 1/8 tsp salt in 4-cup container. Stir in 2/3 cup oats. Cook 5+ minutes, rest 2 to 5 minutes.

Creamier Oatmeal: Bring 1 1/3 cups water + 1 1/3 cups milk + 1/8 tsp salt to low boil. Add 2/3 cup oatmeal. Simmer 20+ minutes. Stir often. Turn off heat, rest 5 minutes.

We source our purity protocol gluten-free oats from farms in the greater Montana growing region of the US; fruit from New England, Southern California, and the Pacific Northwest, and mushrooms from California. All the ingredients in our superfood blends are organic.

We believe that you should know what’s in your food. Every ZEGO product is tested regularly for over 500 toxins like pesticide residue, glyphosate, heavy metals, and gluten.

Why do we test for agricultural chemicals in organic oatmeals? Our natural oatmeals are made with organic ingredients, but we know that toxic chemicals can drift from surrounding fields and waterways. So, we test the oats for over 500 agricultural conventional chemicals and glyphosate, along with mycotoxins that are prevalent in oats.

Heavy metals can occur naturally in our earth, soil, and plants. But they also can be added through industrial activity. Organic standards do not address heavy metals.

Heavy metals like lead are particularly dangerous at any level. We test for lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury to make sure our products are lower in heavy metals than the most strict international standards for baby food.

We take allergens seriously. Every ingredient supplier is evaluated based on risk assessment including what other items they produce and where. We also test incoming ingredients from new suppliers.

ZEGO products FREE FROM gluten & top 14 allergens (no peanuts, no tree nuts, no soy, no dairy, no egg, no wheat, no fish/shellfish, no lupin, no sesame, no mustard, no sulfites), and corn.

We are certified gluten-free by GFCO.

Corn is not present in our facilities or on our equipment. Our packaging is also free of corn by-products and corn dusting powder.
