As winter nears, we naturally gravitate towards foods and flavors that have warming properties. The cold season allows your body to store up all of the energy spent over the year. It’s a time of reflection and hibernation.
As 2020 nears its end {finally}, why not take a moment to pause and think about the beauty you have seen this year and nourish yourself with foods that invite warmth.

Here is a list of our favorite warming spices and their benefits, according to studies.
• ginger: may help stabilize cholesterol
• cinnamon: may help balance out spikes in blood sugar
• cardamom: cardamom plays a beneficial role in promoting metabolic health, glucose intolerance, and oxidative stress
• turmeric: a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals
• rosemary: may improve cognitive function
• allspice: can ease abdominal discomfort
• nutmeg: may be able to boost mood and improve cognitive function
