Preparation & Inspiration
Hot Quick-Cook Method: For best flavor, nutrition, and digestibility, soak the superfood oatmeal blend and water or milk overnight. In the morning, simmer with lid on for 5+ minutes. Rest for 2 to 5 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
Cereal or Overnight Oats: Mix 2/3 cup oats with 1 1/2 cup milk + 1/8 tsp salt or 1 cup yogurt. Soak 5+ minutes for cereal or 12 to 24 hours for overnight oats. Longer soak time results in softer oats.
Note: Soaking your oatmeal blend in your favorite version of milk or water will make it easier to digest and make the nutrients more bio-available.
Microwave: Boil 1 1/2 cups water + 1/8 tsp salt in 4-cup container. Stir in 2/3 cup oats. Cook 5+ minutes, rest 2 to 5 minutes.
Creamier Oatmeal: Bring 1 1/3 cups water + 1 1/3 cups milk + 1/8 tsp salt to low boil. Add 2/3 cup oatmeal. Simmer 20+ minutes. Stir often. Turn off heat, rest 5 minutes.
