Chocolate Hazelnut Protein Oats – The Recipe:

Ingredients
● ⅓ cup (48g) ZEGO Double Protein Organic Oatmeal
● ¼ cup (22g) plant-based protein powder, vanilla or unflavored
● ½ tbsp ground flaxseed or chia seeds
● 1 tbsp hazelnut simple syrup
● ½ cup unsweetened almond milk, (or any other low-fat milk)
● 1 tbsp chocolate syrup or partially melted chocolate
● ½ tbsp chopped hazelnuts, toasted
Optional Toppings
- Chopped chocolate
- Toasted chopped hazelnuts
Alternatives for hazelnut syrup:
● 1 tbsp water + few drops of hazelnut-flavored stevia drops
● 2 tsp water + 1 tsp sugar + ¼ tsp hazelnut extract
To Make
1. First preheat the oven to 350°f and lightly grease a ramekin.
2. Then combine the oats, protein powder, flax seeds, hazelnut syrup and milk in a blender and blend until smooth – only about 15 seconds.
3. Pour ½ of the mixture into the ramekin.
4. Add chocolate sauce to the center and sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts.
5. Cover with remaining oats mixture.
6. Next, top it off with more chopped chocolate and hazelnuts.
7. Finally bake for 20-22 minutes until the center of the top is just cooked and dry to the touch.
