Well, now you can! Our Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls have the flavor of a homemade peanut butter cup. But this version is packed with protein about 4g in each one inch ball. Roll them in cocoa powder (or cocoa and sugar if cocoa powder is too bitter for you) for an extra layer of chocolate flavor.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls

INGREDIENTS

  • 2/3 c Chocolate Chip Mix-Ins
  • 2/3 c seed or nut butter (peanut butter will give you a real Reese’s type flavor)
  • 2 tbs vanilla
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • 2 tbs ZEGO Pure Protein (this adds to the roasted flavor)
  • 2 tbs flaky salt, like Maldon’s
  • 2 tbs mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • Cocoa powder for rolling, optional

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix the nut butter, vanilla, and maple syrup together in a large bowl.
  2. Add in the protein, Mix-Ins, salt, and chocolate chips, if desired. Mix well.
  3. Leave to set in the fridge for 30 minutes (this makes them easier to roll).
  4. Roll into 16 balls and coat with cocoa powder, if desired. Alternatively, you can shape them into 8 bars (we love the ease of using the Granola Bar Pan).

The balls will keep in the fridge for 2+ weeks.
